Achilles Tendonitis

Pain at the back of the heel can cause walking difficulties or make walking impossible. Skin swelling over the tendon is associated with warmth, redness and tenderness. Walking can be Painful after morning waking, combined with ankle stiffness, which In our work we have seen many clients improve, often sooner than expected with mild activity.

It may link to intensive and unusual tendon strain, like during forefoot running, and also by muscle shortening when lifting and lowering the foot. What many people don't realise is that running, jogging, playing tennis, and dancing represent very one-sided movements, which after extended periods lead to muscular tension from the shin (tibia) to the rear thigh bone (femur).

Often this Pain may show improvement following the first session by applying Osteopressure, even when micro-tears are already present.
