Ankylosing Spondylitis (Morbus Bechterew) develops gradually over several months or years. Pain can vary from morning stiffness in the lower back to impaired movement of the shoulder, knee or hip joints. Symptoms may worsen during the night when joints are not moved.
Despite widespread expectations, even with this diagnosis, substantial Pain reduction may be achievable. Pain may often be substantially reduced during initial treatment by applying Osteopressure.
This suggests that the blood vessels considered responsible for this syndrome may not be connected to the presenting Pain, as this involves an inflammatory process. Even chronic inflammation may subside without medication use.
