SMS Thumb or RSI

SMS thumb or RSI symptoms vary from ChronicPain, spasms, tenderness, occasional burning sensations in the hand, and thumb swelling at the wrist side. Individuals may also experience gripping difficulties, and it may affect thumb flexibility.

It may continue occurring even when the thumb is not being used for texting. This disorder is predominantly found in teenagers sending over 100 text messages daily.

This represents a serious concern. 'SMS' is increasingly frequently diagnosed. The name fits perfectly, as frequent texting causes such muscular imbalance that the body must emit an AlarmPain to prevent joint damage.

These symptoms occur because devices rely almost solely on thumb use for typing rather than fingers. Pain can often be substantially reduced by applying Osteopressure during initial sessions.
