Runner's Knee

Runner's knee represents one of the most common injuries among runners. Symptoms include Pain behind or around the kneecap when bending the knee, walking, squatting, kneeling, or running. It worsens when walking downstairs or downhill. You might hear a crunching or clicking sound when bending or extending your knee.

This occurs due to significant discrepancy between dorsal flexors that lift the foot up and foot flexors that flex toes. At some point during running, the toe starts to drag on the ground. This leads to Tendonitis, and in severe cases even detachment of shin periosteum.

Often this Pain may show improvement following the first session by applying Osteopressure. In cases where periosteum is damaged, it must heal first, naturally. This can take a few weeks, as in cases of Tennis Elbow or Golfer's Elbow.
